Not Guilty – Assault 4 DV and Bail Jumping

Last week my client and I went to trial to defend against allegations of Assault 4 DV and Bail Jumping.  My client was accused of assaulting his girlfriend after an argument.  The alleged victim testified and told the jury that my client had assaulted her by throwing her down to the ground and punched her.  It was also shown that my client did not appear for a court hearing, which was the basis for the Bail Jumping charge.

My client decided to testify and say that he was defending himself and retrieving his personal property that his girlfriend had taken from him during the argument.  After a long trial, the jury found my client not guilty of both charges.
